Last modified: November 10, 2009 - 11:14 AM

Local Government is the tier of Government that is closest to the people. As such, it offers many opportunities for local residents to become involved in it, either in the decision making process or in a more practical hands-on role.

STANDING FOR COUNCIL

Any ratepayer who is interested in standing for election at the next Local Government Elections may be interested in the joint publication from the Department of Local Government, Shire Association and Local Government Association "Becoming a Councillor" which is available on the Departments’ website. www.dlg.nsw.gov.au

Council Meetings These are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Council Chambers at 35 Jerilderie Street, Jerilderie.
The meetings commence at 10.00am.
